Peter Murray CBE, Founder and Executive Director of Yorkshire Sculpture Park will give a special evening lecture sharing his memories of the artist Elisabeth Frink.

Peter Murray Biography
Peter Murray set up Yorkshire Sculpture Park in 1977, whist Principal Lecturer in Art Education at Bretton Hall College.  He has organised major exhibitions at the Sculpture Park and overseas by artists including: Magdelena Abakanowicz, Emile Antoine Bourdelle, Lynn Chadwick, Eduardo Chillida, Elisabeth Frink, Barbara Hepworth, Marino Marini, Igor Mitoraj, Henry Moore, Isamu Noguchi, Gio Pomodoro, Joel Shapiro, William Turnbull, James Turrell and Kan Yasuda. His 2008 show of work by Andy Goldsworthy won the South Bank Show Award for Visual Arts.

Murray is an Honorary Fellow of the Royal College of Art and in 1996 received an OBE for services to the arts; in 2010 he was awarded a CBE.
