Crossed Borders Artists Residency

Artists Ian Brownlie (UK), Claude Cattelain (France), Isabella Martin (UK), Jemma Watts (UK) will work together on collaborative project, responding to the locality of the Sainsbury Centre, looking at the university campus and surrounding residential areas. Their work will address two aims:

  • To investigate the question as to how the region could be made a better place to live in and visit
  • To have an exchange between artists from different places

Each day the artists will each draw up a walk that starts and ends at Sainsbury Centre and use these walks as a catalyst for their work. The project will build on a series of workshops the artists attended at Fabrica, Brighton in August.

The TAP artist's residency is based in the Sainsbury Centre studio from Tuesday 18th until Saturday 22nd November 2014.

The TAP project has been selected within the frame of the INTERREG IV A France (Channel) – England cross-border European cooperation programme, part-financed by the ERD
