Inspired by Japanese Photography

Students from City College Norwich Photography course worked  with Sainsbury Centre Learning team and photographer Adam Shawyer to produce work inspired by the exhibition Masters of Japanese Photography.

The group worked together over a period of 6 weeks exploring themes found within the exhibition. They used a variety of approaches and techniques, including, but not limited to photography.

After a series of workshops exploring image and identity, working with found images and collaboration, the students met with members of the Sainsbury Centre curatorial team to consider the presentation of their work.

At the end of the project, the students displayed their work in an exhibition at the Sainsbury Centre. The display featured work by:

Courtney Colman
Lily Dawney
Ryan Eves
Kerri Farrow
Charn Gerber
Jade Jones
Laura Kolodka
Jobi Laniado
Amelia McLoughlin
Emily Norris
Sara Rae
Nicole Stribling

The Sainsbury Centre would like to thank Jon Clark, Nicola Gibson, Ellie Wilkins-Smith and Adam Shawyer for their contribution to the project.
